PCG Wind and Francis Tuttle Technology Center have partnered together to create an OSHA-compliant program to train individuals as wind turbine technicians.
Applicants must first apply to PCG Wind online address and after a screening process; we will forward names for admission to the daytime program. Ten individuals will be selected. Upon completion, trainees receive multiple industry training certifications recognized nationally and internationally.
PCG Wind Positions:
Wind Turbine Technician
PCG Wind is looking for motivated and talented individuals to join our wind turbine installation servicing and maintenance teams. If you have experience of wind turbine servicing or installation, good mechanical and electrical engineering skills, or have experience in aligned sectors such as the oil and gas industry we would like to hear from you.
Trainee & Apprentice Wind Turbine Engineer/Technician
If you have finished a modern apprenticeship in mechanical or electrical engineering and would like to take the next step, PCG Wind can help by training you to become a wind turbine technician.
Wind Turbine Technician Training
Program Objective:
Prepare students for employment opportunities in the wind turbine industry. Pre-employment training for wind turbine installation, preventive and predictive maintenance, and repair technicians.
Course Sequence:
- Enhanced OSHA 30
- Tower Safety
- Tools and Torque Certification
(Mechanical, Electronic, and Hydraulic) - Shaft Alignment (Mechanical and Laser)
- Electrical I
Program Length:
5 weeks - 150 hours (Mon. thru Fri., 8am – 4pm)
