PCG Wind and Francis Tuttle Technology Center have partnered together to create an accelerated wind technician training program designed to prepare prospective employees for a challenging career in the wind industry.

Wind Turbine Technician

PCG Wind is looking for motivated and talented individuals to join our team. As a technician with PCG your primary job tasks will be to install, maintain, operate, test, troubleshoot, repair, and/or replace renewable energy equipment or energy efficient equipment. This equipment could range from small to utility scale wind turbines, small to utility scale solar arrays, or energy efficient lighting upgrades, or energy efficient control systems for commercial/industrial clients. Travel will be required 100% of the time. Some assignments will run on a fast-paced schedule and be very physically demanding. Each technician will be expected to carry out each of his/her assignments with safety being the first goal and production being second. All applicants must also have excellent work ethics, be in good physical condition, have a mechanical aptitude, and be willing to work in any of the industries where projects originate. Electrical experience would be ideal, but we are willing to train good motivated candidates without this. If you have experience of wind turbine servicing or installation, good mechanical and electrical engineering skills, or have experience in aligned sectors such as the oil and gas industry we would like to hear from you.

Next Steps

Qualified candidates will first be contacted for a telephone interview. Selected candidates with then be brought in for a face-to-face interview and screening. Ten individuals will be selected for each training class. These ten candidate’s information will then be forwarded to Francis Tuttle Technology Center for admission into the program. Upon completion of training, trainees receive multiple industry training certifications recognized nationally and internationally.
